A Homestead home is among 16 participating in Mysterious Mansion Mayhem.

Judging for the city’s Mysterious Mansion Mayhem is this week, and 16 homes are competing for prizes for best decorated Halloween home.

The Parks, Recreation and Library Committee finishes its judging Tuesday night form 6 to 9 p.m. They are scoring on creativity, theme, lighting and execution. The committee will also judge haunted houses.

Residents have the the chance to judge the homes for the Resident’s Choice award Friday through Sunday but will not judge haunted houses.

First prize by the judges is $250. Second prize is $100, and third is $75. The Resident’s Choice award is $250. The best haunted house will win $150.
