The Maricopa Tea Party will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Maricopa Community Church, located at 44977 Hathaway Ave. across from the post office. The guest speaker will be Arizona Republican State Chairman Tom Morrissey, who will address the crowd on the 2012 election. A question and answer session will follow.
The border fence website, www.buildtheborderfence.com, will also be discussed. A regular to the tea party gatherings, State Sen. Steve Smith spoke at the last meeting about state redistricting and border security. Smith sponsored legislation that launched the website that accepts private donations to build a fence along Arizona’s border with Mexico.
Maricopa Tea Party organizer Irene Littleton said the organization is nonpartisan and open to all members of the community. County Supervsor David Snider is slated to speak at the October meeting, she said.“We want to educate any and all folks that want to know about what's going on in our country and government,” Littleton said.

Will the Tea Party members in attendance answer all questions asked, and will be there a cost to attend the meeting and ask questions. I understand some congressional members are now charging fees to attend and ask questions at their town hall style meetings.
Thank you.
