I would like to first say congratulations to the Maricopa Women in Business, InMaricopa.com and the Maricopa Monitor for a well organized and executed mayoral, council candidate debate today (Saturday January 28, 2012).
I felt the presentation was highly professional and carried out with a strong level of confidence by both the moderators and candidates. Thank you very much for allowing the community to have a front row seat to the Maricopa election process and a firsthand preview of our neighbors who have stepped up to have a hand in guiding our city.
I am always in awe of how everyday citizens answer the call when the passion to serve rises up within them. It always takes me back to my years spent in the service of our county.
The Maricopa family is fortunate to have such strong willed, focused and in many cases, thoughtful candidates to choose from, yet this will not be an easy decision. We must choose carefully for our community’s very existence requires nothing less. Brazen arrogance has no place in the electoral process, just as strict partisan views do not serve the common good.
Please think long and hard before you complete and then place your ballot in the mail my fellow voters for, our united future depends on our collective good judgment.
Sincerely,
Henry Wade
Citizen of Maricopa
