Friday is National Wear Red Day.

Friday is National Wear Red Day, and four Maricopa businesswomen are joining forces 4-6 p.m. at Pacana Park to raise money for the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women Campaign.

Bobbi-Jo Asher, Kelly Wales Bradley, Billie Sue Deegan and Francoise Lobuglio have worked with the city to put together a program to entice people to donate to the heart association.

“I was very happy to organize a heart health awareness day this month,” Asher said.

The public is invited to watch free Crossfit and Zumba demonstrations.

“We will have a bucket out for people to make donations to the AHA, as well as have prizes donated by some local businesses to be raffled off at the event,” Asher said. Crossfit is donating a free membership.

Asher, who sells Scentsy aroma products, said she will donate a portion of all sales to the heart association.
