The number of new housing permits issued by the cty of Maricopa during the first month of 2012 was exactly the same as in January of 2011, seven.

The number represented a slight dip from the previous month. A total of eight were issued by the city in December 2011.

The mid-winter months were slower last year as well with 28 issued from November-February as opposed to 52 that were issued during the summer months of May-August.
