Seven Cups Coffee is now open after an extensive remodeling of a storefront next to Brooklyn Boys restaurant on North John Wayne Parkway.
Business has been good since opening doors last Saturday, said Ali Hajaig, who owns the shop with his sons Abbas and Mohamad Ali.
The coffee shop serves freshly brewed coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, frappes and mochas. Flavors such as caramel delight, extreme toffee, mint chip, cookies and cream and red velvet can be added to the drinks.
Seven Cups also has a crepe menu. Customers with a craving for something sweet and creamy can order anything from a Nutella crepe with fresh strawberries and bananas to a yogurt crepe with fresh berries and granola.
Both said they plan to come back.
“I am happy they serve crepes,” West said.
WiFi is available for those who like to surf the Net while sipping their java, and Ali said there are plans for live entertainment.
The Hajaigs began serving coffee under the name Seven Cups from a trailer in the parking lot of the Stagestop Marketplace on the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway more than a year ago. As business grew, the father and sons team relocated to a storefront in The Shops at Maricopa Fiesta.
The name comes from the fact the Hajaigs have seven children in the house.
“Seven children so seven cups,” said No. 1 son Mohamad.
