The Maricopa Marching Rams performed their best ever in field program Saturday during the Agua Fria Music Along the Estrellas Festival.
The band performed “The Marching Symphony” achieving an “excellent” rating, the second-highest rating.
Music director Ivan Pour said the band has “improved a great deal in a number of areas, most notably musical elements such as tone quality, balance, blend, and projection to the audience.”
“The students are looking forward to building on their success in rehearsal this week,” Pour said.
The group will perform at the Maricopa High School Rams 7 p.m. playoff football game Friday and the State Marching Festival Saturday.
