MHS culinary arts student brings home gold

MHS student Jessica Stansbery earned a gold medal in a recent culinary competition. Submitted.

Five of eight Maricopa High School students competing in an annual competition of the Arizona chapter of the American Culinary Federation for aspiring chefs medaled in the Jan. 19 event at the East Valley Institute of Technology in Mesa.

Gold: Jessica Stansbery
Silver: Priscilla Almanza and Brianna Herrera
Bronze: Joshua Burdi and Selens Kirkland

The American Culinary Federation, Inc. is a professional organization for chefs and cooks based on promoting the professional image of American chefs worldwide through education of culinarians at all levels.
