Maricopa Wells Veterinary Hospital will open the last week in October. Wendy Villalba will be the animal doctor. For more information, call Villalba at (602) 332-0074.

Anytime Fitness officially opened its doors on September 29. The club is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. “The 24-hour aspect of it is enticing for people who work off-hours,” said owner Brian Mullins.

Mullins is originally from New York, has a wife and two children, and has been living in Maricopa for four months. He attended ASU and studied business administration and marketing. Mullins says he has always wanted to open a gym.

“I’ve wanted to do this for quite some time,” explained Mullins. “I consider this to be a valuable part of the community.”

The club is 4,000 square feet with showers and changing rooms. Mullins stresses that the club is a “clean, safe environment” with top of the line equipment, including treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, free weights and circuit equipment.

Membership fees are $29.95 per month with a two-year contract, $39.95 per month with a one-year contract and $49.95 per month for a month-to-month membership. Personal training is available by contacting the gym.
