Held on Nov. 5 this year at The Duke at Rancho El Dorado, Art on the Veranda provides a family-friendly atmosphere with raffles, food, drink and more than 40 artists’ work.

“I love to be with other artists,” gourd artist Linda Taylor said. “I think we all help each other.”

Entry is free. Free tickets also serve as raffle tickets for special art pieces. This year’s raffles will be situated at various artists’ booths rather than at the entryway.

Along with standard-bearers like Cynthia and Steve Portrey, a textile artist and a wood artist, respectively, the show will have painters, potters, jewelry makers, photographers are more.

Those looking to upgrade their everyday dishware to something that becomes a topic of conversation at the dinner table will want to see the works of Kathy Young and KimmBerly Ionae. Young comes from Casa Grande, where she specializes in creating practical dishware with a unique flare.

Student artists will also have a tent.
