Chance to Support Soldiers with Christmas Wreath Ends Thursday

A program sponsored by Stage Stop Country Store and Cotton Blossom Flower Shop in which residents can purchase a Christmas wreath for a fallen Arizona soldier concludes Thursday. Each wreath purchased will be delivered to one of the 34 Arizona families who have lost a loved one in the war in Iraq.

src=The program was created by Will Dunn, owner of Stage Stop and Cotton Blossom, and his wife Cindy to honor soldiers from Arizona who have made the ultimate sacrifice during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. “Freedom isn’t free and must be honored,” Cindy Dunn remarked. “We as Americans appreciate the families who have paid the price so that others may have an opportunity to experience the freedom we cherish.”

The 16-inch wreaths cost $50 and are available by calling 568-2424 or visiting Stage Stop at 19536 North John Wayne Parkway. Currently, 30 have been sold and are being hand-delivered by Maricopa residents this week. According to Dunn, “Our goal is 34 so we can deliver one to every Arizona family.”
