The forecast calls for possible storms and temperatures in the low 80s for the early part of the week and rising temperatures and clear skies toward the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a 20 to 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms from Monday afternoon to Wednesday morning. While the storm system is in the area, daily highs are expected to stay under 85 degrees. Once the storm systems clear the area, temperatures are expected to climb back into the mid 90s.

The forecast for Monday calls for mostly cloudy skies with a high near 84 degrees. There is a 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms throughout the afternoon, but the chances drop to 20 percent overnight. Moderate winds are expected to accompany the storm, and gusts could reach as high as 28 mph.

According to the NWS, Tuesday is also expected to be a stormy day with a high of only 80 degrees. There is a 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and the chances only drop to 30 percent overnight. The wind is expected to calm down significantly and gust near 5 mph.

There is a “slight chance of rain” for Wednesday morning, but the bulk of the storm is expected to blow out by the afternoon. The high for the day is expected to spike back to 85 degrees, but winds are expected to stay calm near 6 mph.

Thursday and Friday are expected to be mostly clear days with highs back in the low to mid 90s. Thursday is expected to be 91 degrees while Friday is expected to spike to 95 degrees.

The weekend is expected to see clear skies and highs in the mid 90s as well, but more information will be available as the week winds down.
