Drug bust in Maricopa Meadows

According to a press release put out yesterday, the Maricopa Police Department arrested two men this past weekend on drug charges during a community event in the Maricopa Meadows.

Maricopa residents Brandon Joseph Carpenter and Trevon Emanuel Perry Vandaveer were arrested around  5 p.m., Saturday, April 2 after police allegedly witnessed the two men complete a drug transaction 75-feet from a police mobile command unit.

Police observed the entire transaction using the command center’s camera and said Carpenter exchanged a bag containing marijuana and ecstasy with Vandaveer for cash.

After witnessing the transaction, police arrested the two men and transported them to Pinal County Jail were they were booked on drug possession and sales charges.
