Coordinated by the Friends of the Maricopa Public Library, in memory of the late Carol Tate, there will be a cookie exchange & sale, and raffle at the City of Maricopa Public Library on Saturday, Dec. 16, from noon to 3 p.m. Participants in the cookie exchange will receive for every dozen cookies they bring in, 3 tickets to redeem in exchange for cookies (tickets are worth 2 cookies a piece) and an entry into the raffle for one of the multiple prizes, graciously provided by local merchants, organizations and library patrons. Additional tickets to buy cookies will be available for $1 per ticket (tickets are worth 2 cookies a piece) and raffle tickets are also available for purchase at $3 a piece. There is also a silent auction available as well.
