Maricopa Lutheran Church will celebrate its fifth anniversary on Sunday, February 11, 2018 with a dinner following the 9:00 a.m. worship service. The celebration will feature a hymn with lyrics written by one of our members and music written just for this occasion. The message will be delivered from director of evangelical mission of the Grand Canyon Synod.  According to Pastor Glenn Zimbelman, Maricopa Lutheran Church began in February of 2013 with 45 members and membership has grown to over 110. In 2015, a building fund was launched with land recently purchased for a future church site. Worship services are held at Desert Wind Middle School, 35565 W. Honeycutt Road. Maricopa Lutheran Church welcomes all ages and our service includes a children’s message. We also provide Bible studies for teens and adults, Sunday school for children, choirs, and various outreach programs that support local charities including the Maricopa Food Pantry and a thrift shop, as well as national and global causes.
