Winds are blowing dust across Maricopa again Monday, blocking the sun.

Moderate temperatures, sunny skies and occasionally strong winds are in store for Maricopa this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Today, patchy blowing dust will continue into evening along with cloudy skies, which will gradually clear. The overnight low will be around 51 degrees F. Winds are expected to be 10-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

Tuesday, the forecast calls for sunny skies and a high near 78. The night will be clear with a low around 47 and light breezes.

Wednesday is also expected to be sunny, warming up to 86 degrees during the day. The nighttime will be clear with a low around 52.

Thursday, the wind return with patchy blowing dust after 4 p.m. Otherwise, the day looks to be sunny with a high near 85. Winds will increase to 15-20 mph, gusting to 30 mph until around 9 p.m. The low is expected to be around 48.

Friday’s forecast calls for sun and a high near 81 degrees. Winds will continue at 10-15 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph. The overnight low will be around 52.

That clears the way for a mostly sunny and increasingly hot weekend.
