Fry’s Marketplace to host Grand Opening Spooktacular

With most of the retail spaces in the shopping center now open, the stores at the Fry’s Marketplace Center will be hosting a Grand Opening Spooktacular on Monday, October 31, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.

“We want to provide a fun and safe environment for the community to trick-or-treat,” says Kathy Werner, owner of The UPS Store. Along with trick-or-treating at stores throughout the center, there will be several other exciting activities.

Mayor Kelly Anderson will open the event with the ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:00.

The UPS Store will be offering free fingerprinting for kids 12 and under.

Century 21‘s “Singing Realtor” Karl Young will be on hand as DJ, performing live music. Stop by and take a look at the 2006 Mercedes Benz ML350. The SUV is the grand prize in the Easter Seals Raffle, sponsored in part by Century 21. Tickets for the raffle will be on sale.

Bring the kids, all dressed up, for a costume contest, organized by Red Bag It!. Costumes will be judged in various categories, and prizes, donated by businesses in the marketplace, will be awarded at 5:30.

Meet Jack the Dog at Wells Fargo Bank and learn about kids’ savings accounts.

Jack the Dog and all his friends hope to see you at the Fry’s Marketplace Grand Opening Spooktacular.

State Farm‘s Good Neigh Bear will be greeting kids from 3:00 to 5:30.

On The Go Bistro will have coupon offers for the kids.

Try your luck at Check Into Cash, guessing how many toy spiders there are in a jar. The closest guess will win a $10 gift certificate to Baskin Robbins.

Above & Beyond Nails will offer $3 off their services during the event and free Halloween decals with each paid manicure.

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, along with a K-9 unit, will be in attendance. Kids will also want to stop by and check out the Maricopa Fire Department’s fire truck.

Other businesses participating in the trick-or-treating include: Fry’s Marketplace, Arizona Associates in Dentistry, Cost Cutters Hair Salon, Desert Schools Federal Credit Union, Go Wireless, Dr. Geoff Glovsky, DMD, Orthodontist, Quiznos Subs, Ramsey’s American Grill and Valet USA Dry Cleaning.
