Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort has been named one of 2017’s “Best Places to Work” in Arizona by the Phoenix Business Journal. This marks the fifth time Harrah’s Ak-Chin has received this prestigious honor.

The “Best Places to Work” list recognizes Valley companies who, through a third-party administered employee satisfaction survey, rank their respective companies as being the best places to work. The areas surveyed are varied parts of employee life, including workplace environment, leadership direction, culture and management practices.

“Harrah’s Ak-Chin continually strives to create a positive work environment for our employees,” said Beth Amoroso, director of human resources. “Being recognized as a Best Places to Work is a clear demonstration of that effort.”

Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino was acknowledged in the “large” employer category (250-999 employees) for creating an enjoyable corporate culture and work environment that fosters personal and professional growth for its employees. The survey findings pointed to the variety of employee programs on property, a focus on building camaraderie among team members and across departments, promoting diversity and ensuring the physical, emotional and financial well-being of the entire staff.

“Just as we work hard every day to ensure a high-level of customer satisfaction, we do this with our employees as well,” said Robert Livingston, general manager. “This honor will undoubtedly foster a sense of pride in all of our employees on property.”

Winners were announced at the “Best Places to Work” Luncheon Dec. 7 at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix and featured in the Dec. 8 edition of the Phoenix Business Journal.
