Three of 20 food establishments inspected in Maricopa April 16-May 15 fell below the top standard of “excellent,” according the Pinal County health department. All three had problems with cold-holding units.

At Good Donuts a refrigerator was keeping food items at 43 degrees instead of the required 41 degrees or cooler. Inspectors also requested an organized cleaning schedule. At Cilantro’s on refrigerator had items as high as 51 degrees, and temperature logs were recommended. At Plaza Bonita, some items in the refrigerator were at 46-51 degrees and some food items were not properly date marked.
