Library to Close for Renovations

The Maricopa Community Library is entering the final stages of an extensive exterior and interior renovation and will be closed Friday, July 23 through Sunday, August 1, 2004 to complete the project. Residents will benefit from such upgrades as repaired and painted interior walls, installation of security bars inside the windows and installation of new bathroom tile.

The library is in need of volunteers to help move books and racks beginning at 4 p.m. and ending around 8 p.m. on Friday, July 23. Any additional moving will be completed on the morning of Saturday, July 23. Further, the library will need volunteers to help re-stock books, hang pictures and move racks Friday, July 30 through Sunday, August 1, 2004.
