Maricopa Area Republican Club to host inaugural event Saturday

The Maricopa Area Republican Club will officially form on Saturday, September 17, at a 5:30 p.m. dinner meeting. The public is invited to the meeting which will be held at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort.

Bill Bridwell, president of the Western Pinal Republican Club will emcee the event. Elected officials and candidates for public office in 2006 will also briefly address the assembly.

Republican Clubs are an unofficial arm of The Republican Party who assemble regularly to discuss significant political events of the day and provide a format for candidates and elected officials to speak directly to their constituents for dissemination of information and feedback.

Republican Voter Registration and opportunities to sign and endorse petitions for candidates will be available at the event. Timothy Lee, Republican District 3 chairman, will be hosting an auction of Republican Presidents’ memorabilia and signing up precinct committee persons.

Cost for the event will be $28 per person and rooms can be blocked at the hotel for those attendees who would like to stay and partake of the entertainment offered by Harrah’s.
