Maricopa police have arrested 62-year-old Dennis Raymond Forsythe on two counts of sexual abuse, one count of child molestation and one count of sexual assault.

Police made the arrest May 4 after the conclusion of an investigation that was prompted by an April 16 call about a possible child molestation

The nameless caller identified him or herself as a counselor and said they had knowledge of a Maricopa man sexually assaulting two juvenile boys. The counselor is known to the two boys, whose ages have not been released.

The assault of the two boys, who do not live in Maricopa, is allegedly to have occurred when they were visiting Forsythe, who was a friend of the family.

The investigation revealed that Forsythe was involved in prior instances of abuse dating back to 2010, according to Maricopa police. However, a search of the national sexual offender registery shows no results.

Forsythe is currently booked into Pinal County jail without a bond. His initial hearing is May 13.
