Time is running out to register for the Maricopa Youth Football league.

Maricopa Youth Football, in its fifth season, is a non-profit organization that focuses on teaching kids the fundamentals of the game.

The league is looking for players, coaches, cheerleaders and volunteers.

The fall league is seven games long, with the first scheduled in mid-August.

Games that take place in Maricopa will be at Maricopa Elementary School, and practices will be at parks in Maricopa.

Teams are broken up into four divisions based on age: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14.

The games are full contact, and the league provides shoulder pads, uniforms and helmets.

Participants must provide their own cleats and mouthpieces.
