Girls who intend to play on the Maricopa High School girls golf team next school year can get free private lessons from a PGA instructor this summer.
Players can sign up with head coach John Tobin, who will arrange the appointments at The Duke at Rancho El Dorado.
The free session were made possible by a contribution from the Ladies Professional Golf Association and the American Golf Association.
Appointments are beginning now.
Tobin said all high school team members must have three or more instructions throughout the summer campaign.
He said any player that does not have golf equipment can get fitted by an former PGA pro with a free set of clubs.
