On Saturday Nov.1, the Maricopa High School Marching Band traveled to Eastern Arizona College to participate in their band day.
The band received a rating of Excellent (the second-highest rating possible). Drum major Zoey Santiago received a caption award for “Outstanding Drum Major.”
The band’s performance qualifies them to perform at the Division 4 State Marching Festival at Copper Canyon High School in Glendale this Saturday, Nov. 8. They will perform at 10:48 a.m.
Director Ivan Pour (see related story) commented, “They have worked hard and made steady progress this year and have definitely earned the title of being the Pride of Maricopa!”
