The Maricopa High School Marching Rams performed their field program “Postcards” on Saturday at the Basha High School “Sounds Along the San Tans” Invitational, sanctioned by the Arizona Band and Orchestra Directors Association (ABODA). The band earned a score of 61.675, which qualifies them for the ABODA State Marching Festival.

This is the band’s first appearance in the State Festival for Division 1. The Division 1 State Festival will be held at Dobson High School in Mesa on Nov. 5.

“This is a big milestone for our marching band program and we are very proud of all of the hard work our students have put in so far this season,” Music Director Ivan Pour said. “We are really excited for what these students can achieve in the coming weeks as we review our feedback from adjudicators and continue to work hard.”
