Recent sightings of a suspicious individual around school sites and near bus stops have prompted the Maricopa Unified School District to release this priority memorandum – safety alert.
The District is encouraging parents to discuss this situation with your children. We are also asking that parents work to group children in clusters of three or more if walking or standing at a bus stop.
Students should immediately report interactions with any stranger to their principal and/or teacher.
The description of the suspected individual that has been reported to the police department is a clean-shaven, bald man in a grey pickup truck (See Suspicious truck in Butterfield Elementary School vicinity).
