Elected in the primary and general election this fall, three members of Maricopa City Council and the mayor were sworn in Tuesday by Judge Lyle Riggs. Nancy Smith was re-elected outright in the primary. Marvin Brown, re-elected in the general election, was also chosen by the council to continue to serve as vice mayor. The newest member of the council is Julia Gusse. Christian Price had no opposition in his campaign for re-election as mayor.
