Parole violator adds forgery, public sexual indecency to rap sheet

On April 11 Maricopa Police (MPD) officers went to West Hayden Road on a public indecency complaint from two juveniles.

The juveniles stated they witnessed a male subject engaging in lewd behavior in the front window of his residence.

Responding officers attempted to make contact with the subject at the residence, but their attempts yielded no results. Investigating officers determined that the male subject living there was possibly a fugitive of justice and a parole violator from California.

On April 20 photographs of the fugitive suspect were obtained and used to compile a photo line up. Using those photos, witnesses were able to positively identify the suspect as Michael Greenwood.

A search warrant was obtained, and MPD contacted the US Marshal’s Office to assist with serving the warrant.

At the residence, the 56-year-old suspect refused to come to the door, and forcible entry was utilized. Located inside, the suspect provided officers with an Arizona driver’s license issued under an alias.

After being transported to the police station, the suspect was fingerprinted, positively identified and transported to the Pinal County Jail where he was booked on an active fugitive of justice warrant, one count of forgery, one count of failure to register as a sex offender and two counts of public sexual indecency.
