Two investigations led to the seizure of 670 pounds of marijuana by the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.
Around 2 a.m., Manuel A. Breton, 20, of Tolleson was arrested after being stopped on State Route 347 east of Stanfield. According to PCSO, the Isuzu Trooper he was driving contained about 255 pounds of marijuana.
A deputy had driven up alongside the Trooper traveling north and allegedly saw cellophane-wrapped bales in the back seat. During questioning, Breton reportedly admitted being paid to transport 13 bales of marijuana to a site on Interstate 10.
