Pima Butte hosts food, fun and photos with Santa Tuesday night

Dinner with Santa is quite a treat. Several hundred Maricopa kids, their parents and grandparents had that dining experience Wednesday evening at Pima Butte Elementary School.

Spaghetti, served up cafeteria style, by Pima Butte Elementary Principal Matt Montoya, PTO members and staff, was the dinner entrée.

During and after the meal families lined up to get photos with Santa, who checked with all the girls and boys to find out exactly what they had on their Christmas wish lists.

The Pima Butte PTO sponsored Santa’s gift shop, featuring toys, jewelry, ceramics, novelties and candles – gifts for everyone, old or young, at 25 cents to $10.

Children of all ages spent some of their after-dinner time at the crafts table painting and applying glitter to pinecones.

Santa will, undoubtedly, be back for dinner with the kids next year, but he’s about to go on a diet – of milk and cookies.
