Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship hosts a preview show on its walls starting with an artists’ reception Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The preview show offers a glimpse at the works of some of the artists participating in Art on the Veranda, which is scheduled for Nov. 7-8 at the Duke at Rancho El Dorado. Media on display will be acrylic, fabric art, fused glass, gemstones, gourd art, guitar art, jewelry, metals, mixed medium, mosaic, Native American art, oil, pastel, photography, pottery, recycled art, weaving and woodworking.

“Art on the Veranda helps to bring artisans and the community together,” Cynthia Portrey, president of the Art on the Veranda Committee said. “By expanding the show over an entire weekend, we are looking forward to increasing attendance, but also reaching out regionally to show people in other areas what a vibrant and active arts community exists in Maricopa.”

Art on the Veranda is a juried art show with artisans from all around Arizona and the Southwest. This will be the third year for the show.
