The Maricopa High School Theatre Company, Tech Crew, Culinary Program and Orchestra came together for the Province community on Saturday at Maricopa High School.
Residents of Province quickly signed up for an evening of entertainment provided by the students, including an elegant luncheon accompanied by the orchestra, followed by a complimentary showing of “Les Miserables” performed by the theater company and tech crew. Residents were shuttled to and from Province and left the following feedback.
“The food and the music during lunch was splendid. The performance of Les Miserables was unbelievable.  We have seen this show on Broadway and for us the high school presentation was more enjoyable, better than we could have imagined.”
“I have been in education for 45 years, and watched countless high school theatricals, and this one, well, it was BY FAR the best one I have EVER seen!”
“These are amazing kids! Very talented! Beautiful singers, wonderful actors!”
The next performance event to take place at the high school is the spring dance, “Kennedy Center Honors,” showing at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30, in the Performing Arts Center. Tickets at the door are $7 for adults and $3 for students with ID (children 3 and under are free).
