Rain is predicted, if only slightly, every day this week in Maricopa, according to the National Weather Service.

Today, the forecast offers a 20-percent chance of shows and thunderstorms in the area, as well as “patchy blowing dust” after 2 p.m. The day overall will be partly sunny. The high is expected near 105 degrees. Tonight, the chance for rain lessens to 10 percent but the blowing dust continues until 11 p.m. The overnight low will be around 81 with winds from the south at 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday, there will be a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 106. Overnight, a 20-percent chance of rain returns along with blowing dust before 11 p.m. The low will be around 84.

Wednesday will be almost a carbon copy of Tuesday, with the high climbing to about 109 degrees while a 10-percent chance of showers remains. The nighttime low will be around 84 again while the chance for rain increases go 20 percent.

Thursday, in true monsoon fashion, the 20-percent chance of showers is forecast for after 11 a.m. and before 11 p.m. The day will be sunny and hot, with a high near 111.The overnight low will be around 84.

Friday’s forecast calls for a 10 percent chance of showers between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. The day will be mostly sunny and hot with high near 112. The nighttime low is expected to be around 85 with winds from the west at 5-10 mph.

At this point, the weekend is forecast to be hot and sunny.
