A rain watch is the theme of this week’s forecast as “monsoon season” tries to get started before Independence Day. Each day is expected to be hot and humid.

Tuesday’s rain prediction is also at 10 percent in the afternoon. The day will be partly sunning with a high near 109. Overnight, the chance for showers is 20 percent. Skies will be mostly cloudy and the low is expected to be around 85.

Thursday will see that 30 percent chance of showers return after 11 a.m. Skies will be partly sunny, and the high will be around 105. The rain prediction continues until about 11 p.m. The overnight low will be around 81.

Friday’s predicted high of 102 is the coolest of the week. The chance of rain is 20 percent day and night. The nighttime low will be around 81 degrees.

A similar pattern is expected for the weekend into the Fourth of July.
