If the Maricopa Rams varsity football team is going to secure another victory, they’ll get their best shot this Friday.

The 1-7 Rams will travel to Florence to pay the 0-8 Gophers.

The Gophers have lost two games this season by less than seven points. Their offense has scored a combined 78 points thus far while their defense has given up 299 points.

The Rams, outside of their lone win, have lost every game by double digits. The team’s offense has managed to score 66 points while their defense has given up 340.

“Florence has had a disappointing season, but, if we want to win, we are going to have to play a good game,” said Rams Head Coach Tyler Brandt.

This will be the last road game for the Rams this season and the next to last game of the season. On Oct. 31 they will play Globe at home.
