Rams play their final game of the season tonight

The Maricopa Rams are down to one last opportunity to secure a victory in their conference, and are hoping a large homecoming crowd will help them do it.

The Rams, 1-8 overall and 0-6 in their conference, host their last game of the 2008 season tonight against Globe.

Globe has one victory itself in conference play, but is 3-6 on the year overall.

This game will mark the last opportunity for senior standouts Eric Chavez and others to shine. However, the team needs to keep an eye on the future.

Because of the rapid growth of the community, next season the Rams will no longer be a division 3A team and will have to compete against 4A opponents.

“We have some good young players that are going to make us a better team next season,” said head coach Tyler Brandt.
