Rams take on Dust Devils at Eloy tonight

Assured of finishing the season with a losing record, the Maricopa Rams varsity football team is playing now for next season.

“We are playing with the intent of just improving at every position,” said head coach Tyler Brandt.

That first opportunity comes Friday night when the Rams take on the Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils.

The Dust Devils sit with a record of 3-4 on the season and are 2-3 in the conference with wins coming against Florence and Parker.

“They are a very big team up front and have some very good skill position players,” Brandt said.

Brandt added that this is going to be another tough game for the Rams. “There isn’t an easy match-up in the conference,” according to Brandt.

“We will have to play a good game if we want a victory,” Brandt said.

The Rams are 1-6 on the season and have yet to win a game in their division.
