Resident: Opposition to APEX perplexing

Thank you, Maricopa Mayor and City Council, for your recent approval of the APEX Motor Club project.

I have been a homeowner in Maricopa in the Villages at Rancho El Dorado subdivision since 2010, and I have not heard of anybody in my 1,200-home community against the APEX Motor Club project. So I was surprised to hear there is some secret opposition to this project. Their motivation behind their opposition to this great project is certainly perplexing to me and many others.

As a former Arizona licensed security guard agency owner; who for many years has provided numerous security guard services to businesses in Maricopa in the past, such as our electric company Electrical District 3, Maricopa has consistently been a business-friendly environment to me and many others.

I hope APEX finds the conditions attached to the use permit to be reasonable and acceptable. The super majority of Maricopans want them here and welcome the economic impact you will bring. Especially for some of our young teen residents who find summer employment opportunities, to be a difficult venture for them.
