Santa Cruz Elementary hosts its first annual talent show

Santa Cruz Elementary School students have plenty of talent. Their singing, dancing and musicianship were evident Wednesday evening in the high school’s multi-purpose room as the Coyotes of Santa Cruz presented their First Annual Talent Show.

Parents, siblings, friends and neighbors enjoyed 14 acts, featuring students at the school in grades K-5. Each act auditioned for a spot in the show, and preparation was largely left up to the students and their families since Santa Cruz is the only school in the district without a music teacher.

Principal Lynnette Michalski, pleased with the event and the talent, said, “Next year’s show will be even bigger and better.”

Zade Bennett was master of ceremonies for the event.

Talent show participants performed again Thursday morning for the entire student body and staff of Santa Cruz Elementary School.
