Sen. Smith: Vote Babeu for Congress; Kimball for Council

Elections on all levels are very important which is why I wanted to show my support for two candidates in particular, one at the national and one at the local level.

Nationally, we know that Washington, D.C., is broken with out-of-control spending and policies, so what a better time than now to send a sheriff to congress to put these failed policies “behind bars.”  We as a nation need new representatives who put the people first, not party allegiances.

We also know that our border is a disaster, but few people know that Sheriff Babeu (as the commanding Army officer), led 700 soldiers on the Arizona/Mexico border to secure the entire Yuma sector.

The results?  A 94 percent success rate in stopping illegal activity!  If he can lead the charge in securing half of our state’s border, you better believe that in Congress he will do the same for the rest of it.

On the local level, re-electing Councilmember Bridger Kimball will keep the cohesiveness in our City Council that has allowed the tremendous growth we have experienced in our community.

Additionally, as a small business owner and as a U.S. Marine, Bridger Kimball has the business acumen and the toughness and discipline to make the difficult decisions our council faces and he has continued to pledge to be a watchdog for our tax dollars ensuring they are spent wisely.

Therefore I ask that you join me in bettering our country and our community by voting Paul Babeu for Congress and Bridger Kimball for City Council.
