Sunny skies and hot temps are ahead for Maricopa.

Temperatures are expected to continue to rise after a stormy start to the week dropped highs to the mid 50s.

According to the National Weather Service, the temperatures should reach into the mid 70s this weekend and continue to climb into early next week. Winds may increase from 5 to 10 mph throughout the weekend, but no moisture is expected.

Friday is expected to see sunny skies with a high near 67 degrees. The wind is expected to be relatively calm near 10 mph, but gusts could reach up to 15 mph throughout the afternoon. The sky should remain clear throughout the night and the overnight low is projected to drop to 39 degrees.

Saturday should see a slight spike in temperatures to 70 degrees for the high. The skies should remain sunny and clear, and the winds should top out at 10 mph. The overnight low is projected to drop to 40 degrees.

Sunday is expected to be one of the warmest days of the year so far as temperatures are set to reach 75 degrees. The skies should remain clear and sunny, and the wind should be mostly calm near 5 mph with occasional gusts near 10 mph. The overnight low is projected to drop near 45 degrees.

Temperatures are expected to rise to 77 degrees on Monday and 78 degrees on Tuesday. More information will be available as the weekend comes to a close.
