Stanfield, Maricopa men face PCSO charges

A Stanfield man and a Maricopa man were arrested Friday on charges of burglary.

Richard Anthony Galvan, 29, of Maricopa and Juan Javier Pineda, 25, of Stanfield were taken into custody by Pinal County Sheriff’s Office at 10:38 a.m. at a location on Lopez Road south of Maricopa. It was the sixth arrest for Pineda in Pinal County.

Pineda was charged with first-degree burglary, theft, trafficking in stolen property and probation violation. His bond was set at $3,500. His previous PCSO citations range from trespassing to driving under the influence.

Besides burglary, Galvan was charged with theft from a vulnerable adult. His bond was set at $1,000. A preliminary hearing for both men is set Dec. 13.

Another Stanfield man has been charged with assault after an incident early Friday.

William Gomez Velazquez, 23, was arrested in the 36000 block of West Apache Drive by a Pinal County Sheriff’s deputy at 1:32 a.m.

PCSO was alerted to a fight at the location. Gomez is accused of assaulting and trying to choke another person.

He was booked at the PCSO adult detention center on charges of assault with intent to injure, aggravated assault by impeding breath and disorderly conduct.
