Man gets 20 years for drive-by shooting

Stanley K. Cox of Maricopa was sentenced to 12 years in prison for his involvement in a June 19, 2010 shooting at a residence on West Bravo Drive, during which multiple shots were fired into a parked car and at least one round struck a home. Cox, 23, was also sentenced to eight years for committing a felony while on probation with a prior felony conviction and lifetime probation pending the completion of the 20-year sentence.

The trial for a co-defendant in the shooting, 19-year-old Diego A. Rodriguez, also of Maricopa, is scheduled for Aug. 9.
