Cooler temperatures and breezy conditions will continue in Maricopa this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight, the low will be around 46 degrees F while the winds are 5-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

Friday will bring mostly sunny skies with a high near 74 and wind 5-10 mph. The overnight low is expected to be around 47.

Saturday is forecast to be mostly sunny with a high of 71. The south-southwest wind 5-15 mph and gusts of 20 mph. The nighttime low is expected to be 45 in continuing winds.

Sunday could be the coolest, with a forecast high of just 69 with mostly sunny skies. The nighttime low will be around 43 with breezes of 5-10 mph.

Heading into Monday, temperatures will begin to warm up again.

A mostly sunny week in Maricopa is expected to shift into recurrent cloudy skies in preparation for a wet weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Today, the forecast calls for sunny skies and high near 81 degrees. Tonight, the low will be around 54.

Tuesday will be similar, with sunny skies and a high of 82. Nighttime will be partly cloudy with a low around 58.

Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 80 and breezes of 5-15 mph gusting up to 20 mph. The night will be partly cloudy with a low around 55.

Thursday, winds will continue under sunny skies, keeping the high around 74. The gusting breezes will also continue into the night, when the temperature drops to around 49.

Friday brings a 10-percent chance of showers, with partly sunny skies, 5-15 mph breezes and a high near 72 in the forecast. Overnight, the chance of rain increases to 30 percent after 11 p.m. The low is expected to be around 49 and the winds 10-15 mph.

That leads into a St. Patrick’s Day weekend with likelihood of rain between 30 and 40 percent.

Tonight, the skies will be partly cloudy with a low of 50 degrees and a breeze of 5-10 mph.

Friday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 83 changing to partly cloudy overnight. The wind will be light and variable at 5-10 mph through night as the low drops to 54.

Saturday, the forecast calls for a partly sunny day with a high near 82 and variable winds. At night, a 10-percent chance of showers develops after 11 p.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a low around 57.

Sunday may be partly sunny with a high near 79. Overnight, the skies will be partly cloudy with a low around 54 leading into sunny days to start the week.

Today, the high will be around 71 degrees under sunny skies, with a mild breeze of 5 mph lasting into Tuesday. The overnight low is forecast to be around 42.

Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 76 and a nighttime low of 45.

Wednesday, clouds begin to appear, making for a partly sunny day and temperatures climbing to around 78. The overnight low will be around 51 degrees.

Thursday is forecast to be mostly cloudy, though the high is expected to increase to around 81 degrees. Winds will vary and increase to as much as 10 mph while the overnight low is at 52.

Friday’s forecast is partly sunny with a high near 81 and winds of 10-15 mph in the afternoon. The overnight low is expected to be 55 heading into a cloudy weekend.

Moderately cool temperatures this weekend will likely pave the way for warmer weather in the coming week, according to the National Weather Service. Daily lows are still likely to dip down into the upper 30s while highs linger in the upper 60s and lower 70s. with little to no cloud cover and a zero percent chance of rain daily highs could reach into the upper 70s by midweek.

With a 10 percent chance of rain on Friday and winds gusting upwards up 20 mph temperatures are likely to dip down into the low 30s Friday and Saturday nights, while highs stay down around 60 until the start of next week.

With a small window opening to potentially sunny skies on Saturday and Sunday, a 10-20 percent chance of rain will likely be the norm this weekend while highs reach up into the low 70s and lows dip down into the mid and upper-40s.

Today looks to be cloudy and calm with a 50 percent chance of showers during the day with a high around 62, while at night temperatures will drop down near 46 as the chance of rain falls to around 20 percent.

Friday will likely be mostly cloudy and calm with a 10 percent chance of rain during the day while the high reaches up around 68 and the lows dip down near 47 at night.

Saturday should be partly cloudy and calm with a high around 72 during the day and a low near 48 at night.

A cold snap should dissipate come Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service, making for a likely mild and enjoyable Christmas Day. A freeze warning will be in effect from 11 p.m. Thursday to 9 a.m. Friday, when lows start to creep back up above freezing, while the expected high on Christmas could be in the 70s.

According to NWS, freezing or sub-freezing temperatures may cause damage to sensitive plants and ornamental vegetation. Poorly insulated pipes may burst. The extreme cold is also dangerous for any pets left outdoors overnight.
