Emergency crews responded to a “pedestrian-involved accident” Friday afternoon.

A vehicle allegedly struck a 13-year-old girl riding a bicycle near the southeast parking lot of Children’s Learning Adventure near QuikTrip around 5:15 p.m., according to the Maricopa Fire/Medical Department.

MFMD Capt. Chris Bolinger said the teen did not suffer injuries in the accident.

On scene, crews told the minor to heed caution when cycling near the area’s large shrubs, which might obstruct views.

It is unknown if the driver of the vehicle is at fault.

A responding officer with the Maricopa Police Department deferred comment to the public relations department, which could not be immediately reached for comment.
