The MHS band is washing cars and selling food to raise money

If you’ve got a dirty car or an empty belly, head out to the Centex Homes Sales office Saturday for its carwash barbeque.

The homebuilder, in conjunction with the Maricopa High School band, will wash cars while selling food and drinks to raise money to help the band cover its expenses.

Food for sale will include $1 hot dogs, 50-cent lemonade, and either $4 or $6 car washes, depending on the type of vehicle.

“We thought this was a good idea to help raise money for the kids and help kick-start the Memorial Day weekend,” said Randy Reifel, a sales person for Centex.
