The Department of Public Safety has released a description of the three victims in the deadly accident on State Route 347 near Casa Blanca Road Wednesday afternoon.

Two men and one woman, all reportedly in their 20s, died while riding in a Ford Ranger pickup truck on southbound SR 347 Nov. 29, said DPS spokesman Bart Graves. The vehicle was initially described as an SUV.

“For an unknown reason the vehicle crossed the median and went into oncoming (northbound) traffic where it was struck by a semi-truck,” Graves said.

Another male passenger in the Ranger was transported by emergency crews to Chandler Regional Hospital. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.

DPS closed northbound SR 347 lanes at Casa Blanca. The closure is expected to last for a few hours. Please take alternate routes.
