Break out the swimming gear Maricopa, it’s warming up! As skies remain blue and mostly clear, the first 100-degree day will likely arrive over the weekend, according to reports from the National Weather Service.

Friday should be calm, clear and sunny with a high around 94 during the day and a low near 61 at night.

Saturday temperatures will likely continue to rise during the day reaching a high around 97 but cooling down a bit to near 64 at night.

Sunday, the dial is predicted to touch the 100 mark during the day, however it is expected to cool off to around 64 at night as a bit of a breeze moves in, gusting up to 20 mph.
