The teen experience was front and center Saturday at a conference and expo organized by the Be Awesome Coalition.
The aim of the Teen Hall, held at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center, was to provide resources and expertise to help teens navigate these challenging years – and have a bit of fun.
Experts spoke about issues relevant to teens and their parents, including internet safety, suicide prevention, financial aid, parent teen communication and other topics. Teens could chat with local business leaders about future careers.
An open mic on the library lawn gave teens an opportunity to showcase their talents.
